Dear guests of German Unity Day 2023 in Hamburg – welcome to THE LÄND.
Hermann Hesse once wrote: “Our Alemannic country has many valleys, nooks and crannies. But every valley, even the narrowest, has its opening to the world.”
That beautifully sums up the motto of this year’s German Unity Day: THE LÄND opens horizons – and builds many openings to other people, nations and cultures. Our state is the home of poets and philosophers, of creative spirits and engineers – and increasingly also the home of artificial intelligence, which we want to put at the service of the people!
Baden-Württemberg has a wealth of beautiful cultural landscapes. People here have a vision and a commitment to society, they are active in organisations, they contribute to society, they look out for each other, and they know how to live well. We have impressive natural areas, including the Black Forest National Park, the Swabian Alps Biosphere Reserve and much more.
