HAMBURG METROPOLITAN REGION:

FIVE MILLION IDEAS

With lovely countryside and attractive towns, Hamburg’s Metropolitan Region is not just a popular holiday and leisure destination. It is also home to five million people and is a successful economic region with countless innovative businesses. The region is a Connected Hub at the heart of Europe.

EXPERIENCE DIVERSITY

At the Festival on Reesendammbrücke between Jungfernstieg and Ballindamm, the region will be presenting some of its highlights: fascinating facts about the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and the Elbe River Landscape for nature enthusiasts, who can take a VR cycle ride; there’s information about the cycle network for sports fans, plus the opportunity to sample local specialities such as apple juice from the Altes Land, Germany’s largest contiguous fruit-growing area. There’s also a varied stage programme and a picture puzzle game for all ages with motifs from the Hamburg Metropolitan Region.
